Yamasakura, Surfers Paradise

Yamasakura, Surfers Paradise Day trips to Gold Coast for both of us means lots of eating and walking! I am actually quite amazed at the variety of food offered in Surfers Paradise. The best time to eat is the pre-dinner time when there are lots of offers available... possibly because there are lots of competition among the restaurants and cafes. Anyway, I have found a good spot to satisfy my Japanese food cravings. They were delicious and prices are really reasonable and affordable. Yamasakura offers lots of set meals and we took quite a while to decide what we want! Set menus are available from A-J!!!  The perfect combination for me was ' J ' which include a bowl of ramen and a small bowl of unagi rice. For $12, I think they are indeed a good deal. The ramen broth was delicious and the unagi did not disappoint either. Yummy! Ramen and unagi rice The other dish we had was the crumbed oyster with rice, accompanied with miso soup. Oyster is certainly Mr&#

Cup Coffee

Cup Coffee, West End Dear readers, I am back! I had to take a break from blogging for a while due to my busy rotation and I was less motivated to blog over the past few weeks due to stress... However, hopefully I will be able to write more food reviews when I procrastinate from my studies (like now!). :) So, back to the real topic here which is food, of course! Klin and myself visited Cup at West End when I returned from Mackay. This is many months ago now! We were able to catch up over coffee and some meals at Cup. There are plenty of street parkings available especially on a weekday.  The meals available at Cup are rather simple, cheap and small in portions. Klin had one of the specials of the day while I had their chorizo beans. Basil pesto, fresh roma tomatoes, feta and rocket on toasted pane with poached egg - $12.50 Her dish was simple and fresh and the egg was poached to perfection. Not bad! Chorizo beans with cheese toast -$14 T
