Va Bene

Va Bene, Windsor Valentine's Day is nearly a month ago, and this year we celebrated this day at Va Bene Restaurant in Windsor. As we were both busy with work (me being away) and the Mr had to study for his exams, we celebrated V-Day a week early! Va Bene Restaurant is located in Windsor International Hotel. The restaurant was not busy at all that night, so it was quite nice to have our personal space. Well, let's start with some entree. First up, we had the bruschetta.  Bruschetta al pomodore e basilico - $9.50 The tomatoes were fresh, well balanced with onions and olive oil. The toasted wood fired ciabatta bread was quite nice too. Next up, we had the calamari. Calamari fritti - $18.50 This is one of the highlight of the night for us. For an entree size, they were quite generous in portion. What I love about the calamari was the freshness and they were just cooked to perfection, even better with their homemade aioli sauce. Yum! As this is an Italian resta...

Trying to be more 'health-conscious', we visited Raw pawpaw, the sister of Pawpaw. It is a smaller outlet in comparison to its sister in the Gabba. Luckily for us, it was still early in the morning and we managed to secure some outdoor seats. Although it was hot and sweaty after the exercise, I still wanted a cuppa coffee, the reason to keep me awake throughout the day after an early rise. Lol! As far as I can remember, their coffee tasted pretty good and well balanced. I enjoyed my flat white while MXM had his usual long black. Initially tossing to try their 'acai bowl...
