Chur Burger

Image
Chur Burger, Fortitude Valley It has been a while since I last had a gourmet burger! Together with MXM, we made our way to Chur Burger in the Valley. Thankfully, street parking was available and it was only a short distance walking into the burger joint. The place is casual looking and we made our order at the counter. Immediately, I had my eye on their signature burger while MXM had the pulled pork burger.    As for the sides, we had the sweet potato fries with aioli. The chips with chilli salt does sound tempting as well!     Both of us opted for non-alcoholic drinks. The Lemmy lemonade succeed in soothing my thirst on that hot day while MXM's raspberry soda was refreshing, I guess. Now back to our main characters of the day! My crispy pork belly sandwiched between this soft brioche bun, was delicious. Pretty amazing I would say. I had a bite and the pork belly was really tender, going well with the coleslaw and chilli caramel. At firs...

Goodness Gracious Cafe

Goodness Gracious Cafe, Graceville Well, hello 2015! Goodness Gracious Cafe was cafe No 1 that I visited in 2015! After a long hiatus and procrastination, I am hoping that I will be able to continue blogging despite my future multiple relocations this year.  Year 2014 had been daunting at first but it turned out to be exciting and a great learning curve in my life. I made good friends and one of them is ChS. It was time to catch up with him before he embarked his next journey in Western Australia.   It was just a random encounter that I found this cafe. It looked enticing from the outside, hence I suggested ChS to visit this place. We had to wait for about 10-15 minutes before we got seated, thankfully. It must have been a busy day because our coffees arrived after we finished our meals. The single origin coffee and the cold drip luckily did not disappoint. I do not add sugar to my coffee usually but that day I just had to try their coconut sugar. Cold...

Tazza Coffee

Image
Tazza Coffee, West End What used to be Cup coffee has now changed to Tazza coffee in West End. Quite a while ago, on a hot summer day, MXM and myself visited Tazza for some brekkie. Known for its good coffee, MXM had the iced long black while I myself could not resist their own specialty chai tea.  Ice Long Black Iced Chai Tea The iced chai tea was all right. I would still prefer the usual warmed chai tea as the ice had diluted the 'creaminess' and flavour of the tea.   The breakfast meals in Tazza are quite simple and I opted for the 'avocado mash with feta cheese and mushroom' while MXM had the 'roasted pumpkin with poached eggs'.  Overall, the meals here are fresh and simple and they were delightful. MXM has always been quite fond of their coffee. :)
